1. Sauté 900g of meat or shrimp, 900g of onions, 250g of carrots, and 300g of potatoes (all ingredients cut into bite-sized pieces) in 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
2. Add 1200 ml of water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for approximately 15 minutes, until the ingredients are tender. Turn off the heat, break the spice paste (220 g) into pieces, and add them to the pot.
3. Stir until the spice paste has melted. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
