1. Boil 10 cups of water for every 1 cup of tapioca pearls in a large pot. Slowly add the tapioca to the boiling water.
2. Wait until the tapioca floats to the surface of the water. Cover the pot. Cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Turn off the heat and simmer for another 2-5 minutes (adjust the time to soften the tapioca to your liking).
3. Remove the tapioca and let it sit in cold water for 20 seconds. Remove the tapioca to a dry container and mix it with sugar or honey.
