Ingredients (serves 4): 1 sachet of Indian biryani spice paste; 250g boneless chicken breast or thigh, cut into bite-sized pieces; 3 tablespoons yogurt; 2 tablespoons melted butter or vegetable oil; 220g uncooked rice (basmati); 220ml water; 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (optional); 65g raisins and dried fruit or mint leaves for garnish (optional).

Instructions:

1. Marinate the meat with yogurt for 10 minutes.

2. Heat the butter or oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated meat and sauté for 1 minute. Remove and set aside.

3. In a nonstick saucepan, add the rice, water, turmeric, and spice paste. Stir well and bring to a boil.

4. Add the meat, cover, and cook over low heat for 15 minutes. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

5. Garnish to taste, stir and serve hot.
